LaSalle Investment Management vs KKR Real Estate?

Hi friends,

Currently hesitating between these two shops. Hope to get some insights. For first job (post undergrad), which one is better? Got opportunities to work ft in both shops (one of their Asia offices) LaSalle definitely has a larger platform ($50b+ AUM) and better track record in Asia. Yet KKR is also a great platform even though its real estate business is kinda new. KKR offers a slightly higher comp, but for me deal exposure/MBA placement/culture is more of a concern.

Could use some insights! Thank you!

KKR, while their real estate branch is fairly new, has tons of experience. As of last year, KKR completed more B-piece conduit deals than Rialto which says a ton about how fast they've grown.

In regards to MBA placement, KKR is the way to go in my opinion. LaSalle is also a solid firm but if its between the two and B-school exit opps I think I would choose KKR.

As others have said, I'd say KKR especially if you want to come back to the US for an MBA/further down the road in your career. LaSalle is good, too, but KKR will probably give you better overall experience.
