LaSalle Investment Management
How is LaSalle viewed in the REPE world? It was #21 in the last PERE Top 50 list and I can't find current info on this site.
Curious as to how the community feels about the firm, and if anyone has any insights regarding culture, comp, work life, etc. please share.
Thank y'all
The scope of what LIM works on is massive. They work on a lot of assets in gateway markets in the US, Asia, and Europe. I have heard their fundraising/investor relations team gets to work with some really interesting domestic and international clients. They are extremely focused on core investments so there is not a lot of particularly interesting case studies to share. Given their lower risk profile and very large size, it has a very corporate feel. Comp is materially lower than comparably sized opportunity funds. Work/life balance varies drastically based on what department you are part of.
If working on massive core properties is what you aspire towards, then this would be an interesting opportunity. However, if you wanted to work on acquiring REIT's, REOC investments, or complex distressed investments this would not be the place for you.
