Starwood, Blackstone, Brookfield, and although not REPE, Macquarie are some I can think of off hand.
Do these guys have separate full and select service teams? Or does everyone do everything
All separate teams besides for Macquarie Cap
in addition to those above, i've also seen MSD and trinity in the space
Any additional thoughts on MSD? Seen them a ton in the space but can’t find any information online

They're REITs but Host and Pebblebrook are probably amazing places to work if you want to be in the industry. Don't know culture. Sculptor's (fka Och Ziff) real estate investments are biased toward hospitality. Very pedigreed though. More boutique but Broadreach Capital Partners (operated by a bunch of ex Spieker people), Ohana Real Estate Investors, JMI in Austin

This comment is hilarious because both Host and Pebblebrook are terrible places to work at the junior level with long hours, mediocre pay, and toxic culture. But hey, the assets are sexy!
Appears there's few scaled hospitality players (like KSL that do it well) - particularly in Europe. What are your thoughts on specialising in the space / working in a hotel only shop? i.e. is comp not constrained by AuM? Re long-term prospects, you're potentially one of the few specialists so can set-up your own shop one day?
