Masters in Real Estate?
I just graduated undergrad in May and I've been accepted to a MSRE program in Southern California, I'm not sure whether I should do it or not because of the high cost (already 20K in loans from undergrad), and I haven't been able to get into CRE yet in any capacity. Working at the moment but its not enough to cover tuition. Is the risk of being in the MSRE worth the reward? There is a part time option 2 years long so to split the cost evenly, though with my current pay I still wouldn't be able to cover it. More loans? What're my options here? Advice is highly appreciated!
Hey, if you would have to take additional loans to get into the program, I wouldn't recommend. Most people on the program have 5 years of experience in CRE. Also, how did you get into the program without doing the minimum 2-year of CRE work requirement after graduation (assuming you graduated this past May)?
OP said they are doing a MSRE in Southern California, not necessarily at USC. A lot of programs don't require work experience and are completed shortly after undergrad. The top ones, however, usually have a work experience requirement.
