Masters in Real Estate Programs
Hi, I am applying to Columbia's MSRED program, NYU's MSRED, and Georgetown's MS in real estate to diversify my options upon completing my undergraduate degree in May. My plan is to apply to jobs and master's programs than weighing my options after hearing back from the schools. I would ideally not go straight into a masters program out of undergrad but am applying considering the poor job market.
Does anyone recommend any other master's programs in Real estate that do not require the GMAT/GRE that I am missing?
You are clearly more east coast focused, but USC stopped requiring the GMAT/GRE and that network is a powerhouse out west.
In DC, Johns Hopkins is GMAT/GRE "Optional" - meaning if you think it will help your packet you can submit it but if you don't think you need it, you don't have to.
I would default on the side of getting local work experience before doing any program as that will greatly help your post-grad employability, together with several internships while in any program you choose.
100% agree and most times I'd give this advice too, but I feel for kids graduating into this hiring market right now. Hiding out for a year might not be the worst idea.
