MSRE

I'm currently applying for MSRE programs and feel a bit of a disadvantage considering I'm coming straight from undergrad. I've heard some things about waiting until I have some work experience under my belt before doing one of these programs, but this is what I want to do right now (assuming I get in). I haven't applied to these schools yet but I have been in contact with some of the admissions advisors.

During my meeting with this advisor she mentioned it would be difficult for me to get in coming from undergrad, (they only take about 5 people). She said the most important thing to do is to stay in touch with her, the program, and buff up my resume as much as I can before I apply (second round is due Jan 15th and she mentioned it would be important to get my first semester transcript before applying). I have reached out, emailing her about the commercial real estate extra-curriculars I have been involved with recently and following up on her meeting about how interested I am in the program. She never responded to that email and I don't know whether to keep applying pressure or back off a bit. I need to get into this program and would love to hear some advice on how.

She also mentioned people would sometimes schedule more meetings with her just to chat and stay in touch. Should this be something I should do? I would love to hear some advice on how to approach this and boost my odds enough to be one of the 5 undergrads that get into this program.
