Yes Nuveen is a known quantity and viewed as a good place from the CRE community. Hope this helps.
Nuveen is solid. Some people stay, some people go. Wherever you end up will be dependent on how good of a professional you are and potentially where you went to school. Worked there for a bit. Compensation in NYC is awful though
How awful is awful comp wise? Does it get any better at senior levels? Currently interviewing for something there so any color you can offer would be helpful
Stayed there AN - ASSO. Was 100-150k all in between those years. Not bad for Chicago or Charlotte where they have offices, but not good in NYC. WLB was great though
What does awful look like?
Bro…
As someone who’s interacted with them from a LP perspective, they seem grossly incompetent
I hate them, but that’s cause I constantly lose deals to you. Great company for sure, TIAA even better parent org. I would stay
I don’t think they’re strong property level investors but if you want to be at a big shop, execute on transactions, and make good $/hour it’s a good spot.
Any thoughts on if their debt arm is stronger than their equity arm?
