NYC new building natural gas

Anyone who develops commercially in the area have any thoughts on this?  Curious if it changes anything at all from the developer perspective even though I'm assuming this consumable is passed to customers.

I believe than many new buildings have already gone electric over recent years, specifically regarding kitchen stoves. I don’t know too much about it but I have heard that electric for heat/ac would essentially be more costly. I will say that many prefer gas stoves over electric and I have personally found this to be an annoyance when looking for apartments since while I want to live somewhere nice and new, I hate having to sacrifice a gas stove lol.
