Orange County, CA Debt Roles in CRE

Question

Is anybody here familiar with Orange County, CA?, I am interested in continuing to work on the direct lending/debt side and I compiled a list of debt players in OC. I excluded small and regional banks/credit unions like pacific premier bank, pacific western bank, provident bank, opus bank etc. I figured there are over a 100 of those. I focused on large and mid size banks. My list so far is pretty heavy on the agency side with no life cos. I also notice that some of these are small satellite offices with just 3 or 4 people. Am I missing any other large companies?

JLL for Agency, Wells, B of A, Societe General have CMBS shops in Orange County as well. B of A doesn't have CMBS in LA, just Orange County and Seattle. They were trying to hire an analyst/associate before Covid. Nuveen and John Hancock for lifeco's. PNC for balance sheet. Buchanan street partners is a smaller bridge shop that was trying to hire recently as well. Pimco is based in Newport and while the head of the Bravo 3 fund is their, I think the debt team sits in NY.

Thank you! Appreciate the insights. Do you know how big are the WF, BoA and SocGen offices? Are they very small satellite offices? Do they only have 3 or 4 originators with 1 or 2 analysts/associates? Does Wells Fargo only do CMBS in their office ? what about agency lending? Browsing through profiles on linkedin, I noticed many people from Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital moved to Capitol One in 2018, so I was wondering if Wells does not do agency lending anymore out of their OC office. I am pretty interested in possibly transitioning to the agency side. Once again, appreciate the help.

I think they tend to run leaner. B of A doesn't have a ton of manpower on the west coast and Wells has CMBS originators up and down the coast. Wells still does Agency lending in Orange County. I don't know a ton about the SocGen office, I think there's some overlap between UBS trimming down positions and SocGen adding. Northmarq and Barings also has Agency lending capabilities.
