Portfolio Management Software...?

I work for a moderately large fund $2B+ on portfolio management that has anywhere from 75 to 100 active investments.

Embarrassingly, our data is unorganized and impossible to aggregate data on. Data is stored on various word and excel documents across many different folders. Any time clients request any type of information, aggregating this information is all brute force.

Our company is looking for an external software solution to put everything in one place.

Ideally, it could feed in facts of the deal, important future dates, notes, calculates since inception returns through a waterfall structure, etc.

Is there a solution out there or does everyone just have proprietary internal software that was made in the 1990s?

So, I went through this with a prior company. Data is tons of different places (word docs, excel files, physical files in filing cabinets, inside the owner's head but never written down, etc...). We went searching through a bunch of different options, and realized that for us, we would need to get property management, accounting & asset management all on the same system to make it work efficiently. Ultimately, I don't think anything was done (I left during the process). But I recall that AppFolio was my preferred option. I've recently heard good things about Stratafolio, Lobby CRE and have heard that MRI Software is gaining market share. Don't know if any of these are exactly what you're looking for, just my two cents. Hope it helps.
