Based on your post history, I may be able to guess that you are in co sci at TAMU. If that is the case, I recommend that you do the MRE to directly go into PE.
If that is not an option, network hard and get your foot in the door at a developer, construction lender, or PE shop.

Once you have experience you can basically do whatever, generally speaking. The real question is, why do you want to do REPE?
I’m generally interested in getting into more of the financial side of the industry. I’m interested in researching the market, analyzing potential deals, looking at financials and being apart of the final decision on whether or not we acquire an investment
Lenders, developers, and PE guys all do that. Start with a wide search for your first job and then you can figure it out later once you have more finance experience!
