REIT Acquisitions expected total comp

Hi all what would be a good comp structure for a first year REIT Acquisitions Analyst straight out of undergrad in the South East? My current structure is about 90ishk compromising of base and stock.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about compensation for a first-year REIT Acquisitions Analyst:

  1. Base Salary:

    • For a major metro REIT, the base salary can range from $53k to $81k, with some variation depending on the specific market and firm size.
  2. Bonuses:

    • Bonuses are indeed a thing and can vary. For example, one offer mentioned in the WSO threads included a $79k base salary with a ~15% bonus.
  3. Total Compensation:

    • Combining base salary and bonuses, the total compensation can range from approximately $60k to $93k, depending on the firm and market conditions.
  4. Stock Options:

    • Some firms may offer stock options or other forms of equity as part of the compensation package, which can significantly enhance total compensation.
  5. Negotiation:

    • If the offer is on the lower end of the range, it might be worth negotiating. Success in negotiation can depend on the firm's flexibility and the candidate's leverage.

In your case, a total compensation of around $90k, including base and stock, seems competitive and aligns well with the ranges discussed in the WSO threads.
