Should I move to Boston, life advice ?

I am contemplating between a offer of working in CT or move to Boston for a offer that is 20k less than CT offer. The long term goal is to work in REPE or dev as a analyst but I need to work as a civil engineer till my visa is sorted out, hopefully in a year. I have been networking and trying to set the base to make that switch.
What place would be the best for me to make that pivot in the future ?. I have also applied to a few MSF programs to help me make that pivot if networking fails. Would really appreciate some advice on this

With civil engineering experience you’re far more likely to get into development than REPE (some funds have dev arms but the work is generally the same there as at other funding sources). Where in CT? New london will have almost zero opportunities for real estate shops. Hartford a bit better. Stamford will have plenty with NYC a train ride away. Boston has also gotten crazy expensive for what it is since 08.
