Strong Berkadia Teams

I’m looking at the rotational analyst program for Berkadia and unsure of what locations I’d prefer. I’d want to be on a team that focuses on institutional clients and big ticket transactions. Listed the locations below and any insights into any of these offices would be appreciated. Houston Dallas Philadelphia Irvine DC Atlanta Boston

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some insights into Berkadia:

  • Berkadia Transaction Analyst: This role can vary in terms of culture, deal flow, and compensation. It is important to determine whether the role is more operations/research-based or if it leads to a producing role.

  • Berkadia's Comparison to Other Large Shops: Berkadia has a significant presence in the multifamily realm. Insights into their mortgage banking compared to HFF, CBRE, etc., would be valuable. Information on compensation, structure, and culture is also crucial.

For specific insights into the locations you mentioned, it would be beneficial to look into the regional strengths and focus areas of each office. However, detailed information on each specific location is not provided in the current knowledge base.

If you need more detailed insights, you might want to explore further discussions or threads on WSO related to Berkadia's regional offices.

Second this on debt - can’t really go wrong with Berkadia on that side. For IS, Boston team is strong, DC team is pretty much 3 teams and two are very strong, and Atlanta is solid (great people but not top tier of that market). Berkadia made a number of IS additions up and down the east coast a few years ago that has greatly improved the overall IS platform from say, pre-pandemic.

Have heard from some people that Berkadia is the top shop for multi is in DC, would you say that’s true?
