Student to REPE Analyst route

Hi guys, i want some advice on a strategy to get into REPE.Profile:- Oxbridge undergrad graduating 2023- RE value add summer internship at a big RE shop for 2023 (right after I graduate)- Graduate role at a top 15 Asset manager (AUM) in a rotational grad program after my internship where i 'MIGHT' be placed in Real assets for a rotation . There is no guaranteeI really like CRE, and I love the summer internship company where I'm about to join in their value add team. However I don't want to waste 2 years on a rotational grad program doing things like equities n fixed income that I don't like. I also have to do the IMC and the CFA and I don't even know the usefulness of doing it if I know I want to get into RE for sure.I will do my part and learn how to model 100%.One option I have is to convert the Summer into a grad which I will try my best to do, but if not, how can I get to be a REPE analyst fast. What things can I do to increase my competitiveness whilst on this graduate program for example.I hope i have explained this properly! Thanks in advance!!

You'll be fine. Try to convert the summer, if it doesn't work out still join the rotational grad scheme and keep applying for REPE roles. If you don't mind sharing the name of value add shop I may be able to give you a better idea of if they convert many interns or not.
