When do you get your own office in REPE/RE Investments
Curious when those more senior individuals in real estate get their own office? I know some places are VP+, others SVP+, D/MD+ etc.

You pretty much said it…depends on the firm.
Both companies I’ve been at (very large, recognizable firms) only had offices for the C suite. Kinda sucks.

Standard gen z question
2 days week I get to work in my own office... in my house.
You might be interested in creating a real estate firm or finding a career path in this field. The good news for you is that real estate will always have demand simply because land is limited, so the natural tendency is to create demand for price appreciation. If successful, the gains in real estate will outweigh the time allotted for its whole investment.
Ultimately, growing your REPE firm is not easy. It requires years of monitoring, following up with investors, and making sure that you are following the blueprint you promised. It is collaborative work that needs trusted investors from different sectors and excellent personnel for your company.
Before delving into the needs of your company, let's start by familiarizing ourselves with real estate content. You should know what exactly REPE is and not confuse it with other related terms in private equity and real estate.
My man he was asking when he gets a closed office, not his own shop…
Completely random depending on the office space....
I actually had a private office in my first analyst gig as a 22 y/o because we were in a very outdated floor of an old office building where basically the entire ~15k SF floorplate was all enclosed offices (I had an interior one with no windows, felt like a prison cell).
Many CRE firms are now downsizing into hybrid/open office plans where basically nobody has an office and many people don't even have assigned desks....
Feel like everyone wants their own "desk", just ask Milton from office space.
But i like open floor plans, with some barriers. Inside office's suck.
Depends on the floorplates, corporate ethos and your ability to pleasure the office manager
Depends on office space and shop. Some places I've seen associates have their own offices, others it's just execs.
