Which role would you pick?

Hello,

I currently have an offer to a 2024 SA position on specifically their RE valuations team [top like BX] and an offer from a newer firm, much different (think QuadReal or Cadillac Fairview). Which would be better for SA? I’m just trying to get a really well paying job, both are on RE debt team.

Is the other role a valuation role?

Tough to answer without more info on the non-valuations role.

Valuations serves more of a support purpose at my firm (institutional). While they are "closer" to deals than say accounting, their main function is to collect/analyze comps, employ research data to update assumptions, and mainly provide other broader data to the front office team with little input on the actual live deals.

So, if the newer firm has a more front-office function, that would be more marketable.

Thank you for your help. I’m unsure of the exact role for a smaller fund front office debt servicing position. The pay is actually better for the debt team at the mega fund but is not their front office. I was hoping to take that just for a SA role and then look elsewhere for FT

I'm looking to get a really good burger I think, would you recommend an order of fries from one of the most famous chains in CA (like in n out but def not) or a burger from one of the hot new burger spots in LA?? It's not like the famous chain but it's really good. Which would be more nutritious you think? I'm pretty sure I just want a burger that costs at least $30.
