Why are only front office people in office?

I’m in a front office role and work about 4 days a week in office whereas everyone else is pretty much remote rn (Closers, UW, etc.) Why is my originations team and capital markets team in office. What makes us different?

Let me follow up, as others have posted at my firm the front client facing staff were in the office consistently since about October of last year. Only in the last couple months has there been a slow push to have the back office and mid office come back to the office 3 days a week. They are pushing but not forcing yet. Also many people were grandfathered in that they could work remotely as they had been prior to the pandemic.

Your boss is more likely to be a tryhard and/or a good ole boy who doesn't want to hang out with his family

It is this, right?  I've had bosses who have lots of money and value time with their family and friends. And bosses who work 12+ hours a day plus weekends who clearly don't like spending time with their family.  Although...teenagers do suck.

The best advice someone gave my wife, is always have a boss with a summer/vacation house. And I'll add, genuine outside work interests and hobbies.
