Annihilate my resume

I'm a rising 2nd year looking to get into IB and could use some advice on my current resume!

*it is one page but adding the extra words to keep anon bumped it over. Also, the cut out part says this:

  • Competitive sports: 3 years Varsity Football (MVP), 2 years Varsity Track and Field (2x MVP, Captain), "senior year class award from high school - athletics related"
  • Interests: Weight lifting, Cooking, Cars, Options trader for 20+ months

Thanks!

- Try to fill out every bullet point to the end of the line, like for example the first bullet point for "hedge fund", try to take out a word and re-word it so its one bullet point that goes to the end. Ideally you want your resume to look "full" so that basically means have more black than white on the paper.

- If you are going to have certificates on there, expect to get harder technicals and to get grilled. That being said, if you feel confident and actually aren't fluffing it up, then I would keep it on.

- For interests, just put generic interests that would catch people's attention. If you put options, then you might get grilled on shit you might not know LOL. Just my two cents.

Thanks for your input:

- For point 1: I try to do this but the typing out of "hedge fund name" is longer than the actual name of the fund so that's why its pushed over. For making the resume look more full should I take out the last piece from fidelity - it doesn't provide much value and maybe instead I can bolster some of the other expeirences? Do you think having three subjects makes it look like there's more whitespace? Don't know how I feel about having work experience, leadership and projects and extracurriculars all separate sections.

- For points 2 and 3: Definitely agree, I feel I am comfortable to a certain extent on getting grilled. But I was thinking about taking out options even though I have experience doing advanced strategies (2-3 legs). I also don't want to get grilled on shit like "explain the four options greeks" during an interview or something so I see your point. I am thinking about putting one of my favorite old time TV shows on there instead, would that be better?

I don't think that's bad, although I'm just a rising junior so honestly not 100% sure, but I can't see how that's a bad thing since they're all virtual. Was just genuinely curious.

Need more skills, anyone can make a Python "calculation program". I put excel + bberg as fairly vanilla skills and then a few more specific.

Got it, I hesitate to put Excel in there because Ive heard that people think it's already kind of a given. Plus I also mention excel in the earlier points. I do see what you're saying about my program, I can take that off to make space.

I do like putting Bloomberg on there how did you learn it? Would you put any other programming languages on there or lean towards ppt/other relevant stuff?
