Having a skills section on top like that is non-standard. I don't like it. Your formatting is a little weird - try using the M&I format for listing your positions, their locations and dates: [turns out I can't post links but google for mergers and inquisitions investment banking resume template]
Try to quantify things more, and use less abstract language like "gaining experience and knowledge" and "displayed acute attention to detail". Focus on the results you achieved. Quantify whenever possible. "Produced numerous Excel spreadsheets" and "developed material for sales people" really means nothing to me since you're not telling me what this was in detail.
Thanks, I'll make those modifications.
That template was the one provided by my undergrad's co-op program, why is the M&I one preferred? Easier to read?
It's a lot more standard and easy to read -- pretty sure it's one of the most common ones. The placement of position, company, years worked, etc. is easier to follow (at least in my opinion). My university (US target) provides a template very similar to the M&I one.
Personally I've never seen someone start with a "Skills" section on their resume ever since high school... but maybe that's just me. Most employers look want to see your university, major, and GPA first. I'd put skills/interests at the bottom.
Ill do that, thanks.
Where should I put gmat score? I feel it is odd to put under skills.
