Does this belong on a resume?

Demonstrated commitment and discipline through successful summit climb of Mount Rainier (14,411 ft)

I have seven years of full time experience and work in the finance function of a F500. It took about 9 months of training and its considered one of the most challenging (if not the most challenging) climbs in the continental US, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate for my resume since I assume most of the general public is more familiar with mountains like McKinley, Kilamanjaro, Everest, etc. I'm also curious to see anyone's thoughts about including successful summit climbs on a resume in general. Appreciate any input.

Not a climber but I think this would definitely fit well under "Interests" on a resume (if you have a "Skills, Activities, & Interests" line of something like that. As for what to write, I'd suggest something along the lines of the following

Interests: [Interest 1], [Interest 2], mountaineering - successful summit of Mount Rainier (YEAR)

OR

Interests: [Interest 1], [Interest 2], mountaineering - successful summit of Mount Rainier, a 14,411 ft. peak (YEAR)

Not sure if you'd call it "mountaineering" but use whatever term you prefer.

Cheers
