IB - Am I playing my cards right?

Hi,

Please crush the IB Resume attached below. I'm about to send it and it will be put on top of the resume pile because of pure hussle leading to a contact. Its for a canadian bank.

Key concerns:

Language / errors - I went to english school but I speak it no more than 50% of the time.
Relevance to banking
Looks / formatting etc...

Thanks guys, really appreciated!

CAD or USD sign before any monetary amount Comma with 1,600 Delete "Networking" from your interests Maintain past tense for everything, even if you're currently performing the duties (This is debatable, but I've heard from multiple sources to do this) Delete the periods at the end (Minor, but it makes everything easier) Re-word the "I am" and "I participated" phrasing Expand on all of your Leadership Experience bullets "Successfully managed up to 20 individuals during time sensitive situations" or some shit, point is expand Google "Mergers and Inquisitions Resume" for different ways to phrase your experience

I think that we are all clinging to a great many piano tops...

Thanks Ekimlacks!

Attached an updated version

Some Notes 2)I decided not to add the CAD for now with the reasoning that 1)its a local application so it implies CAD 2) CAD looked ungly on my resume. Hope its enough not to include it.

3) Realized that the best experiences are hard to expand on as they are occuring right now (so forget about results etc...). Still expanded though.

Thanks again!

Hi, glad you found previous feedback helpful, I will take another shot

  • Remove periods from all bullets
  • Capitalize: "Analyst, Finance"
  • Make Investment Multinational similar to Young Chamber of Commerce (Develop, Conduct, Collaborate instead of Developing, Conducting, Collaborating)
  • Reword last bullet: "Assist the department head with the department's quarterly presentation"
  • Capitalize: "Analyst, Private Equity Real Estate (part-time)"
  • Rephrase: "$5-10 million range"
  • Reword: "Drafted various components of the memorandum"
  • Reword: "Led teams as large as 20 on projects ranging in scope from "
  • Formatting: Uneven spacing before "Advise"
  • Capitalize: "Bachelor of Commerce, Finance"
  • Lowercase: "Standard Life soccer team"

Hope that helps
