IBD Resume Help Needed

I originally used M&I's resume format as a guideline but how can I shorten my resume to one page? Which bullet points should I include or not include? I know my IBD internships are more important than the law firm one so I removed some points there but it is still too long.

I am always looking to improve my resume so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You can actually change the font size to 10

"I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature."

Widen your margins. Also did you take two years at one school and transfer to another? Take the first school out completely with the worse GPA. You don't need both on there, your degree is going to be from the college you transferred to.

I also transferred to a better school, no need for that to be on the resume, its not on mine and nobody will care/find out.

Thanks for the replies. I'll mess around with the margins, spacing and font size later.

@beastmodebanker - I did only one year at my first school before I transferred. So instead of putting Aug 2011-May 2014 did you just put May 2014?

Why not update the resume and then comment on this thread again. We can go from there.

Hello, Bob Loblaw (nice Arrested Development reference).

This looks good. Some tips:

  • Move your Education/Work Experience/headers over to the left; they're jutting out.
  • Your actual bullets are unorganized. Tidy it up.
  • Make your headers constant (WORK EXPERIENCE vs. Volunteer Experience/Skills). I recommend keeping them in all caps.
  • Add more interests.
  • Print out your resume and go through every single detail. You'll notice right away how messy some bullets/margins are.
