New Resume, Non-Target Senior

Hey guys,

After a lot of revision, here is the latest version of my resume.

I have expanded on my work experience and cut down on poker, even though it is still central.

I've gotten a lot of negative feedback on the homecoming thing. I agree, it sounds cheesy. But how do I explain it to make it sound good? Basically, I got voted HC King by my entire student body. This is because I'm friends with 100's of people on campus and get along well with nearly everyone. The vote shows great communication and social skills. I just think I'm not making that evident, and if I could somehow make it evident that maybe it would be acceptable to keep on there?

Seriously I think it shows a lot, but I think right now it just sounds so cheesy. I just hope there is a way to make it show what I think it really does mean.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the entire "social skills" section is ridiculous. Your resume will be selected based on your intelligence and abilities -- the interview is where your social skills will be tested

I agree but why not go into the interview with them knowing I am a normal/social person? Instead of them getting 15 minutes to see if I "fit" (30 total generally, 15 of quant).

If enough people think it is dumb to put anything like that I'll gladly take it out. I can obviously portray my social skills in any interview, but didn't think it would hurt to put the social part in there.

I like the resume. Impressive stuff with the RakeTakers start-up. Weird that a kid like you would go to Morehead State. Kind of kills any front office prospects.

Just play poker forever

I had to pay for my own schooling, and didn't realize how much going to somewhere big would pay off compared to a full ride somewhere smaller.

Yes, I was a dumbass for going somewhere so small.
