•Supported analysts in researching primarily small cap technology and bio-tech companies at a Long/Short hedge fund •Screened companies based on key metrics using Cap IQ to find under/over-valued potential investments as well as, developed an understanding of key valuation techniques used to identify target investments such as, the DCF and comparable analysis •Performed due diligence on investment that is up 40% vs. 8% (Russell 2000 benchmark) •Updated financial models with earnings and daily position review model as well as, sat in on portfolio review meetings •Conducted channel checks to confirm assumptions about performance and future prospects of companies screened for potential investment in addition to current portfolio companies
