Should this internship be included on resume?

I'm in quite a conundrum due to a unique instance that took place during my summer thus far regarding internships. My background, put briefly, is that I'm a rising junior at a target school in the US interested in recruiting for S&T. I went abroad this summer to Asia to work as a summer analyst at a regional investment bank in the region in their institutional S&T division. About 3 weeks in I was told by a MD (the one I networked with to get the internship) that HR had not completed the entire internship approval process and that I shouldn't be physically present at the office (though I could assist from home) until the matter is resolved. Later on I discovered that given the historical pace of HR at this firm, the process could take up to one and a half months to complete, which was too long for me to wait. So, I continued to work from home and talked with the MD about this situation who then informed me that he had left the investment bank and started his own firm.

Of course, I ended up working for the MD's firm for 2 months and will definitely be putting that on my resume. However, should I include my stint at the original investment bank on my resume as well?

The overall amount of time I spent assisting the traders at the original internship (at the office and from home) totalled around 3 weeks. The responsibilities at the original internship also differed from my responsibilities at the MD's firm (original firm had me making morning reports etc. for clients as well as improving their client database to name a few responsibilities). The resume that I drop to companies will simply state "Summer 2013" for both internships as I have to create it on our university portal and there is no way of changing but this seems a little bit insincere to me (I also presume the interviewers will ask for clarification).
