Advice Needed: next step in my career to grow the family office

I'm seeking advice on the next step in my career.

I currently am working at a 5-year old hyper-growth startup, and have been there for over 4-years as it was my first professional job after graduating with a degree in finance. I've been the right-hand person for the VP of Business Development building out and executing our GTM strategy. Recently, my dad and I had a conversation about him giving me the opportunity to grow a small portion of the family office. It's always been a dream of mine as a 2nd generation child in a UHNW to create long-term wealth for our family organization as a Managing Director. In looking at my path forward to be successful at growing a small portion of the company I need to grow my knowledge, network, credibility, and experience. To execute this goal, I'd like some guidance on three strategies I am considering:

(1) Using my family's network, get a job at or work alongside a family office where the small portion can be in a larger investment pool.

Pro: start right away and learn the business

Con: learning as you go, greater risk for errors

(2) Get an MBA at my alma mater, the University of Denver (ranked 77th). It also has a Family Office and Enterprise program and my family's network is in the area.

Pro: gain experience and credibility while leveraging my local network

Con: limiting greater scale and success

(3) Get an MBA at a top 20 program that specialized in Family Office and Enterprise.

Pro: greater scale of network, opportunity, and credibility

Con: maybe more than I really need to be successful

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, I really appreciate the guidance!
