African applicant top 10 MBA/Mfin possibilities

Hi

I am from South Africa, and will be graduating this year with a bachelors in investment management and economics. I want to study postgrad in the U.S., hopefully an MBA. However, I know there is a strong emphasis on having work experience before doin an MBA, especially for a top-tier course. Basically I want to know what my chances are of getting in straight out of undergrad. Here are my specs:

GMAT: 700+
Work experience: 1 year full-time NPO, currently doing fin.management for an AIDS orphanage
GPA: I dont know, as we use different scale, but I am in the top 1% of one of the top Universities in South Africa

I am hoping that my unusual background in BSchool terms will help strengthen my chances, but i don't know if it will be enough. Also, our Bachelor's is a 3-year degree, as we don't do GenEd. So even though we cover the same amount of subject-specific work, I fear some B-School will want me to do another year of study before accepting me.

If I dont get accepted to a MBA course I am going to try to get into a MFin course.

So basically, any help/thoughts would really help me out, as there is no-one I know who has any knowledge on U.S. schools/postgrad education.

Thanks
