Alex Jones (Infowars, LOL) Concedes Sandy Hook School Shooting Wasn’t a Hoax

And to think.. all the retards and losers on WSO listed infowars as one of their regular news sources and defended it (I thought they were trolling at first tbh)

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — For years, bombastic far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones ranted to his millions of followers that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax, that children weren’t killed and that parents were crisis actors in an elaborate ruse to force gun control.

Under oath and facing a jury that could hit him with $150 million or more in damages for his false claims, Jones said Wednesday he now realizes that was irresponsible and believes that what happened in the deadliest school shooting in American history was “100% real.”

Jones’ public contrition came on the final day of testimony in a two-week defamation lawsuit against him and his Austin-based media company, Free Speech Systems, brought by Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, the parents of 6-year-old Jesse Lewis. Their son was a first grader who was among the 20 students and six teachers killed at the school in Newtown, Connecticut, on Dec. 14, 2012

Is there a reason this is your response? We should all applaud people like Alex getting taken down and welcome greater scrutiny into the behavior of all our media, including CNN. They're part of the exact same machine.

He’s a infowars reader and thought his response was a clever “gotcha”

Ok cool, let's do CNN next for defamation / lying.

What has CNN lied about that has not been retracted.  Presenting news consistent with management's values is not necessarily lying.  Even MSNBC which has an extremely liberal point of view, does not really lie.  I could make similar comments about Fox News

He's not really, he's just an opportunist troll that recognizes that the current environment favors him skewing toward a right-wing audience. Alex's shit used to be rooted in reality - he used to spout off about Operation Northwoods and try to bust into Bohemian Grove and his schtick was that the entire American institutional power base was corrupt, which is demonstrably true.

Problem with that is that it's not lucrative - dude was just screaming into the wind. Now that this country is completely divided along party lines and one of those party's entire platform is contrarianism, he's got a built-in audience that's he capitalized upon, so his method of communication has shifted to "the entire American institutional power base is corrupt, but the Republican party is fighting to fix it", which is horse shit.

Tbh I've never really understood what makes Jones "right-wing."

He painted George Bush and the Republicans as Evil Inc after 9/11 and the Iraq War. If anyting, he is anti-establishment... and also, keep in mind, he is more of an entertainer than a news source. He got Sandy Hook wrong, but he has been proven right more times than he has been wrong. No one would believe the Bohemian Grove stuff if he didn't break in and film it.

Yup - no point arguing with liberals who just want to attack everything and everyone who is any part conservative

Nothing to do with being liberal or conservative.

Just flaming people like you, who are fucking morons and continually get IRL beat up and robbed for a reason

Well his financial well being was tied to spouting an obvious and intentional lie.  Wouldn't a better reading be "American citizen stripped of the money he made spewing and encouraging hate speech towards the parents of dead children"?

As our right wing brethren love to remind us, actions have consequences.  If my million dollar idea is "hey, lets take a lot of pent up anger that some Americans have and direct it into a campaign of deliberate mendacity, directed at the parents of dead children," should anyone really care if those parents come right back and strip all those millions from me?

Alex Jones deserves no sympathy, no respect, no attention.  He wanted to make a quick buck by exploiting a tragedy, deliberately pushed lies that led to some (apparently) pretty vicious harassment of, lets repeat, the parents of massacred children, and you want us to feel the slightest ounce of pity that the justice system and the court of public opinion is coming down on him like a ton of bricks?

Lets also not forget his contempt of the judicial system and his blatant perjury.  He should not only be penniless, but in jail for the remainder of his natural life!

What is encouraging hate speech!?

He said it was a hoax. Where is the problem with that?

The Holocaust was a hoax. 9/11 was a hoax. The 2020 election was a hoax. The Iraq War was a hoax.

I don’t believe these words, should I be prosecuted though?

These are just words…who cares?

They’re railroading the guy into oblivion, how does this progress our society further…develop a precedent of restricting people from having unpopular opinions? Or…if you say something that causes other people to say mean things to people…should you be sued?

He wasn’t encouraging his followers to engage in violence like Maxine Waters did in 2020, or like AOC and many others said in reference to the SCOTUS RvW decision. Should they be sued? Certainly calling for criminal activity in order to achieve political gain is much worse than what Jones did.

Jones is cointelpro/controlled opposition. People get caught up in the right wing vs. left wing narrative but both sides are being played if they're watching Jones thinking he's something he's not. The purpose of Jones is to control narratives and the flow of information that may be considered sensitive to the public. He does this by telling truths in a clownish/bombastic/overexaggerated manner mixed in with ideas, some true and some false, that would be considered outlandish to the uninitiated. What happens is his rants about these topics become memes and are deemed to be fake or they become unsharable because his name is attached. You'll see social media meme pages used in this same light constantly when narratives need to be controlled (ex: Epstein Island memes)

A few examples which depict the above: Alex Jones quote of "they're turning the frogs gay!". When you ask people about Jones, many times they will quote that line and laugh. They've done no further research and the first thing that comes to mind is "man.. that guy is crazy." Upon further review, there is a very common pesticide named Atrazine that has shown to drastically lower the testosterone levels in frogs and turn tadpoles into hermaphrodites.

https://news.berkeley.edu/2010/03/01/frogs/#:~:text=Atrazine%2C%20one%2….

This reaction in frogs would obviously lead to concern regarding Atrazine's affects on human hormones (the avg test levels in men are down approx 300-400 ng/dl over the past 3 decades). All in all, likely not a safe chemical to consume. If you're someone like Monsanto, how do you control such terrible press? Hire Alex Jones.

Another obvious example.. Jones has been talking about elite human trafficking for years. Epstein's first prosecution for sex trafficking was back between 2012-2014 (don't remember off the top of my head and don't feel like searching). Jones would present this information, but he would also go on to call them interdimensional vampires directly after. What this obviously does is poison the well for anyone that could potentially be led to the truth.

There are many such examples when it comes to Jones, but you get the picture. He's an intel agent and neither the left or the right's friend.

I think you're right that there's a general problem where most conspiracies are immediately discredited because we hear them from first or primarily from non-credible people, but I think that's a leap to say he's cointelpro or controlled opposition. Who is controlling him and pulling the strings? I think it's more likely that he's just someone who trolls etc to build his base and make money

His family is very well tied in with the CIA, and he discusses this openly. There are also discussions that he may be Mossad. That aside, I gave the example above of who else could pull his strings aside from an intel agency - any company that has damning information that is public or will soon become public and doesn’t want it to permeate the mainstream thinker/msm news consumer.

Last thing I’ll say, is that Jones has been at this for 25+ years. To position himself as a troll against the world elites wouldn’t make any sense, and if he were an actual threat to them instead of a pawn used by them, it would’ve ended very poorly for him many years ago (see Bill Cooper, Julian Assange, Seth Rich, etc).

As the west is now finally realizing, we live in a tiered justice system. If the deepstate/elites want to cancel you on every platform, cancel your bank accounts, destroy your business, plant evidence on you, lock you up for life, have you killed in your jail cell with the cameras turned off - they’ll do just that. If you cross one of them by sharing election interference data with Julian Assange for example, they’ll have you stabbed outside of your local dive bar. So, long story short - the proof is in the pudding. Jones is wealthy, free, healthy, and not systematically shut down by the powers that be. Anyone considered an actual threat to the system are destroyed long before they can grow into what Jones has become.

The same thing happened to Tucker Carlson, another WSO favorite. His nonsense was taken to court and his own lawyers argued that his show wasn’t news and no reasonable person would take it seriously, and because of that he won the court case.  Apparently, WSO didn’t get the memo, and still tune in every night to have some bowtie wearing pussy tell them which minority group to be angry about.

People here really saying cnn has never lied. Gupta literally goes on the Rogan experience and admits they lied about horse dewormer, and CNN still hasn’t retracted

People here really saying cnn has never lied. Gupta literally goes on the Rogan experience and admits they lied about horse dewormer, and CNN still hasn't retracted

I didn't know anything about this but after a quick search, I found out that that the drug Ivermectin is used for animals.  What is the lie?  Is it that, CNN should have said it could have other uses?

They called anyone using Ivermectin a conspiracy theorist and a danger to society as they were using "horse dewormer"

In reality, Ivermectin is used as an antiparasitic in humans across the globe, and has been connected to a nobel prize for scientists ability to cure parasitic infections.

So was Joe using a "horse dewormer" or was he using an antiparasitic drug. If you choose the former, then you better start calling peanut butter "dog food"

They deliberately mislead people to discredit those with differing political opinions. Think they'll ever face any punishment for it like Alex Jones has?

Alex Jones is a warning to the anti-establishment to stay in line. This trial will never happen to the elites on CNN and the New York Slimes. They can lie all they want and still claim moral superiority because they control the institutions and can't face backlash at large.
