Applying for an internship

I am currently looking for an internship in the investment banking industry, I have begun networking with connections I know and have gained some valuable insight. I decided to take an introductory class on python programming. I am from a Non target school in Massachusetts, with a good GPA, however my understanding of investment banking is not strong. I am an older student in my junior year, Where are the best resources to find and apply for internships, and what advice would you give towards landing one. I am hoping to land somewhere that I can make an impact and hopefully gain a job in the same company.
