BA in Political Science and MBA admission

Hey guys.

I am will be freshman college student this coming this upcoming year. I did not get into the business school at my current university, I will have to reapply after my 1st year is over. I was told if I get good grades that I have a good shot at getting into the business school at my school.

I am interested in double majoring in finance and poli-sci. How helpful is a BA in political science in getting into a top MBA program? Is it frowned upon?

From what I know and learned so far that if you want to work in finance there is really no limit because people come from different backgrounds. For example, GS (Goldman Sachs) looks at GPA scores but also look at other things that make you you, such as the way you think and the ability to learn etc. I would also suggest that you do some youtube watching of people who are already in the industry like Jamie Dimon, Edith Cooper, etc. There is a wealth of information about what they look for and why certain people get hired over others.

I don't think it particularly matters. One of my coworkers did his undergrad in political science and then did an MBA at MIT 5-6 years later. Although keep in mind that his undergrad school was also top-notch.
