Bachelors: NOVA SBE VS EHDEC

Hi everyone,

I'm currently deciding between NOVA SBE and EDHEC Business School for my bachelor's degree and would really appreciate some advice from those familiar with either program or the European finance job market in general.

Here’s my situation:

  • I hold an EU passport.
  • NOVA SBE (Portugal) is significantly cheaper for me — tuition is around €600/year.
  • EDHEC (France), even after scholarship, would cost about €7,100/year.

In terms of career goals, I’m interested in finance( private banking, wealth management, or potentially a sales & trading role) or management consulting, although I’m not completely set on a specific direction yet.

Language-wise:

  • My French is conversational,
  • I’m a beginner in Portuguese.

A few things I’m hoping to get insight on:

  • Which school has better post-grad job placement (especially in finance hubs like London, Luxembourg, or Switzerland)?
  • Which offers stronger internship opportunities and alumni networks in the finance space?
  • Which would better position me for a top-tier Master’s program later on (e.g. LBS, HEC, Bocconi...)?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s attended either school or has insight into how they're perceived by recruiters and top grad schools.

Thanks in advance!

Nova is way better at bachelor level... go there without hesitation :)

Thanks! is there a specific reason why?

EDHEC's BBA has consistently been ranked as the second best business bachelor in France for the past years, just after ESSEC. If you want to work in cities like Luxembourg, London etc I would say it opens much more doors than Nova.
