Bama or UMD

Should I go to UMD or Bama? UMD had a stronger finance program but their Wall St Fellows program is very selective. At Bama I’d have a good chance at their IB program that places kids in top 25 firms UMD is by the DC area too though.

If you’re dead set on banking, do UMD. If you want to have a better time, do bama.

Breaking in from Bama is very very challenging but doable for some people (I broke into an IB BB from there but also had 35 ACT, 4.0, perfect ECs, great internships etc). There are some really great programs on campus (CIMG and UA IBA), but your odds of breaking in even if you do everything right are still pretty tough and your margin of error is basically zero.
