berkeley vs rice vs washu vs emory vs umich
are any of these schools more worth it for ib as an in-state student for Berkeley? I'm econ for every school except emory, which I'm business for
I'm also on the waitlist for nyu stern, notre dame mendoza, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Georgetown Mcdonough. Are any of these worth taking over berkeley?
Absolutely not if you are in-state for UCB–I'd commit there. Even if you were OOS that would be your best current option since it's non-Ross UMich, and the other 3 aren't on par (WashU IB recruiting is non-existent outside of the business school, and placement is very mid within the business school as well).
Notre Dame and Georgetown would be MAYBEs if the cost difference isn't huge, and at that point you should consider the fit of the school as well.
got it thanks! any reason why stern is a no compared to UCB?

I'd go with Vanderbilt, WashU, and Georgetown. The more well known the school is for IB, the fiercer the competition will be. Can't imagine majoring in Econ at Berkley with so many Indian/Chinese hardos (asian myself).
Seeing as you can't even spell Berkeley, I'm not surprised.
WashU or Vandy
