ranking: Ivey>Queens (assuming commerce)>McGill>Waterloo>UT>UBC

not sure what you mean by "nothing to do with the program" since the program matters immensely, believe it or not networking is mostly a moot point in Ivey- there's tons of OCR, and as long as you do well in school, the firms will come to you. however, if you really must know about 'loyal' alumni, i'm pretty sure people at waterloo are the tightest

UT is definitely best for networking purposes (close to bay street), but UT is far worse than any of the first 4 schools in the list (from the perspective of IBD recruitment).

considering you're a high school student, i strongly recommend you try and factor in other considerations, like what kind of school you'd like to attend, and other more personal reasons

I've heard the opposite. Having spoken to person that was at a major PE firm in Toronto, who is now working at a major tech firm (think Google/Apple/Facebook etc..) I was told that the only place to go if you want to seriously get into finance is UofT, and maybe Ivey, simply because you'll be able network in between classes and UofT is right at the heart of downtown Toronto.

I would... but the truth is I can't sell my soul to myself... http://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/blackknight.asp
