I heard that every time someone posts about Brady on WSO, he gets paid $5 from some NFL advertising firm. He got paid $3000 last month. You guys got trolled hard.
Oh well, he's earned $10 off of our two posts so far. Brady, can you give me a 10% cut for this thread?
Come up with a better lie. No one is going to believe that here.
Dude why do you think he's still applying to school rather than working as an accountant somewhere? How do you think he can afford this?
It's not exactly true. He only gets paid a dollar and it's the Pats who are footing the bill, but he did clear $3,000 from it last month.
And why would the Pats pay for it exactly? Care to explain?
I think IP knows what EVERYONE is thinking: did Brady get into HBS. Do you think we should ask him?
It's not like I'm exactly the poster boy for confidence in trying situations, I mean, my knees are shaking. Hopefully IP realizes just how important this is to us, especially me, in terms of just gaining some closure to the Brady4MVP b-skool soap opera saga.
He did get into HBS.
He's busy studying for the MCAT. The joint MD/MBA program is too prestigious to pass up. Besides, why spend the best two years of his life at HBS when he can extend it to 4 or 5? A real no brainer here folks
What if I told you that Brady got his startup funded by YCombinator and that he's been emailing and texting me about it EVERY FRICKING DAY??? And how awesome it's going to be to have Princeton grads working for him and how he's gonna hire some hot asian chick from Harvard.
I have a strong feeling IP is going to dodge my question and give roundabout answers that don't provide closure. What do you guys think I should do here?
Interesting advice, but I think I'm going to have to go ahead and veto it. Every good story needs conflict resolution.
To be fair, 50% of the effort he spent obsessing about HBS is still a high-magnitude effort, probably about right to properly launch a start-up. Good for him though.
I told you, he probably got picked up by YCombinator. He won't stop emailing me and texting me about how awesome his new startup is and how much it would have sucked to go to HBS, Princeton, or Stanford for grad school. How they're a bunch of morons who couldn't succeed in real life so needed to take two years learning to try and get other people to do their work for them.
He is still having trouble landing girls, though.
Probably isn't good enough for me :(
I need to know if Mr. 4MVP is going to get his transformational experience or not. Lots of panties hang in the balance.
Well, I am sworn to secrecy on the details. All I can say is that things have worked out EXTREMELY well for Mr. Brady in a way that does not involve grad school, that he is thrilled, and that he has transcended the need for it, IMHO.
Is that good enough for you?
So are you saying he is a heroin addict now?
I feel like I've missed the last ten minutes of an epic movie. Did frodo ever make it back from mordor? Did brady make it to hbs?
He. Got. Into. HBS.
^ Don't believe it 'til he says it's true. Come out, come out, wherever you are
Brady did not get into HBS and, based on my emails with him, IP seems to be trolling everyone.
I know, right? So unfortunate when people troll like that, really unfortunate.
bunch of cyber bullies up in this thread.
How is anyone chasing Brady's ghost different than the fat, depressed, unemployed dude who sits at home all day and watches "Trannies who Tricked Each Other" on Jerry Springer to console himself that it could be worse?
Brady is moving on with his life; you need to move on with yours'.
Wait, wait, wait...Brady is a tranny?
He got into HBS.
Brady = IP's trolling account.
It would be hilarious if brady and illini are the same person.
HBS gives me boners.
IP is acting strange. Or is the whole Brady thing a massive conspiracy to fool us ordinary members by the upper echelons of WSO?
Brady was IP's financially irresponsible alter ego. No bitches were crushed nor cubicle walls torn down. Just a lonely man in a rusty sedan trying to savor models and bottles vicariously thru internet postings 1000 miles from the financial capital of the world.
I'd be very impressed by IP if he turned out to be Brady, since he (Brady) has hundreds of posts on other websites. That said, IP's been acting very strangely recently...
2.) There are fewer prestige trolls running around WSO. (Brady would probably qualify as one.) Is Patrick hitting the ban hammer faster, did I scare them all away, or did something else happen? 3.) I haven't been posting that much recently, period. 4.) I have always trolled trolling attempts. Efforts to track down Brady are a form of real-life trolling in a sense. If he wanted to be here, he'd set up a new account. Don't make him the next Aleksey Vayner. Make him "Crazy Brady" that we all tell stories about his escapades on WSO around the WSO fireplace at Christmastime. 5.) We need to stop obsessing about Brady. Brady needs to go live his life; we need to go live ours. Brady was not well served obsessing about B-school; nobody here is well-served obsessing about Brady.
He got into an M7 school last I heard from him. I guess good luck to him, I hope he gets what he's after.
what is brady's actual username? I want to read his old posts

There's a quote on that thread that is one of my all-time favorite quotes on this site. I have included it below for completeness.
Who is this brady guy and why was he so obsessed with HBS? It isn't that hard to get in is it?
If you think his posts on WSO were bad, his pseudonym at the grad forums 'Revolution' was even worse. I posted a few choice excerpts on another thread.

"I for one would turn down a $500K/year job easily for admission to HBS and would take out a $200K loan with a smile on my face."
Yeah that's him alright
To be fair, plenty of people leave their $300+k/year jobs to attend HBS.
Do you guys ever think Brady4MVP might actually be Dee Leopold or one of her cronies?
Did Brady have Aspbergers? Always wondered. I'd feel bad making fun of someone with a legitimate disability.
No, he is actually a smart, likeable guy in person. Yeah he really wanted to go to HBS but he also seemed to troll the shit out of a lot of people on here..
Maybe that dog with the tongue stretched out was a subtle hint of that.
yes, a little bit. we intelligent people always have some sort of that.
Wow, he is an even bigger troll on gradcafe. Goes on and on to all the SAIS admits about how this program is easily to get into, isn’t worth the money, mba programs >>> policy/IR grad programs, hbs leads to mountains of pussy, etc.. Everyone on the thread is perplexed and pissed, and one threatens to call the SAIS admissions office about these rants (saying it violates the morals clause of his admission offer) until illini intervenes. Craziness.
It's a lot of fun though. (He actually makes a lot of sense in many of his threads as long as avoids talking about MBA guys getting ass.)
Some asshole kept talking about how getting a $55k/year job out of SAIS was AWESOME, after spending more than that per year to attend the school. The public policy nerds are out of their minds.
"We're not stupid MBA students, life isn't all about money, I really want to pay $50k/year to attend a school that likely won't benefit me at all, stop pointing this out to us", etc.
Agreed, even though he's shitting on their parades he is obliquely doing them a favor by pointing out the negative ROI.
I dont think their out of their minds but more realistic and with specific goals. Most IR/policy students get into work at think tanks or foreign service that has a base of like $60k so they're not far off.
Never met the guy but exchanged a bunch of e-mails with him. Really smart guy. Quite frankly I don't think he needs an MBA and don't think he would enjoy the MBA experience that much either.
Haha - you have trolled WSO HARD my friend. I definitely had fun reading.
LOL good catch here...Brady talking about himself in third person
