Brandeis or Rochester?
I got AD from both schools and both in Master of Science in Finance(1 yr program).I don't know how to choose. Brandeis is smaller, yet it is not ranked on the US News Top Business School. I wonder why.
I'm from China and I know that Rochester admits so many Chinese students this year. Personally I prefer a more western study enviroment. But the education quality is also very important.
So which school do you recommend? I need advice and thanks a lot.

Rochester as well. You should find out what (if any) companies do on campus recruiting at both schools to help aid in your decision.
OK. THanks. I only found out thier placement info and seems like they are on the same level. I will try to search which companies do on campus recruting.

The placements are very vague. Brandeis, for example, dont mention how and when placements were made. They listed a bunch of companies that recruited their graduates but doesnt mention year, program, etc.
Be wary on basing your decision on the placement info released. Get in touch with alums who can help.
Bare in mind, I'm not saying Rochester is better. I based my research on Brandeis only when I considered it.
Brandeis. Definitely few firms recruit on campus but lots of alums in all the BB and MBB and other consulting firms. International class . 60 countries or so. Placement internships is global from africa to russia . Lots of benefits for sure plus its in BOS
A fellow alum mentioned to me that a total of 2 people got into BB this year.

Yeah, I am torn. Rochester is a good school, but I think their MSF is mainly Chinese students with who knows placements. Brandeis gives you the benefit of being in a major city which really helps.
I would probably lean towards Rochester simply because it is more well known internationally and if you have to go back to China for work, that will benefit you.
It really is. I'm starting @ U of R this year and so far I'm one of two or three American students in the MSF program
well, Im first going abroad to study and second is majoring in finance. I don't like too many Chinese in the program...
So is it wise for me to choose Brandeis considering my preference?
I think it would depend where you would like to work. No expert, but I would imagine Brandeis places well regionally (i.e. in Boston) but expert analysis, Ant's your man!
