BU VS BC MBA???? Help.

I've been accepted into both BU & BC part time MBA programs and I'm having a hard time deciding which to choose.

My ultimate goal is to break into equity research. I'm currently an investment consultant for 401k plans.

I know it will be an uphill battle going to a part time program, but I don't have the option to go full time. I'm married with three kids and own a home in the suburbs of Boston.

BC I feel is more known for Finance, but looking at the professors BU actually looks more impressive.

For those in research do you see more BU or BC MBAs?

Opinions welcome.

Thanks

I can't go to school fulltime, so BU and BC is best I can do.

Any other opinions comments?

Overall I'd agree that BC is a better bet for Finance. Have you looked into NYU's weekend PT program? I'd consider that as an option too. It's a better brand, BUT your network would be based in NY... so it may not be ideal.

At this point, I'd reachout to current students and recent alumns to get a true idea of what recruiting is like for PT students. That's the true wildcard here... BC is better for finance, but I've heard mixed reviews of their career center for PTers... I can only give you hearsay reviews though, you're better off directly asking people who are going or have gone through the process. Congrats on the admits, these are definitely the best PT options in Boston, good luck! Let us know where you pick and why.

Thank you highwyre for your info and congrats. I did look at NYU and would have loved to do it, but I have 3 little kids (almost 4, 2, and 1 month) and I didn't want to miss to much of them growing up. Just to big of a sacrifice.

I'm currently leaning towards BU, better national awareness and overall program, although it seems BC has a better finance reputation. I know 3 equity analysts and did a scan of their linkedin connections to see where they went to school and obviously the majority went to top 10 programs. But when look between BU and BC, BU had an edge of 5 to BC's 2.
