Cambridge deserves equal standalone prestige as Harvard/Oxford

Cambridge is already one of the most prestigious universities in the world. The issue is how people talk about it.

You constantly see Oxford and Cambridge grouped together as “Oxbridge.” But when people name the single most prestigious or most well-known university in the world, they always say Oxford (or Harvard), never Cambridge.

If they are truly equals, Cambridge should be named individually just as often in that top spot. Instead, Oxford is treated as the default, while Cambridge stays part of the pair.

Cambridge should be talked about on its own as the most prestigious, most recognized university in the world, on the same level of individual recognition as Harvard and Oxford.

Perhaps Cambridge is never individually named as the most famous university in the world because Harvard and Oxford are more universally recognized? Ever consider that?
