Cambridge finance master with no gmat
Hi guys - long time reader and now a poster. So here is my question: I will like to apply to cambridge's finance program without a GMAT. Why no GMAT? BC I am studying for CFA level 1 (Dec '15). Anyway here is my profile:
Work back office at a top bb 2 years work experience Nyc Latino Honors in undergrad Awesome letters of rec Have really great projects to discuss in my application Bilingual Went to a non-target undergrad
Any thoughts? Be as cruel as possible, monkeys (but also honest).
Anyone?
Honestly, who cares if you're doing CFA. plenty of CFA II/III candidates apply to MSF. I don't see them getting a free hall pass for GMAT.
Take either the GMAT or GRE practice test. If your score is sufficiently high(700) then you're fine. Unless your GPA is sky high, it's easy for them to ding you without a score.
Also remember that admissions decisions aren't purely binary. Sometimes scholarship money comes into play.
Thanks for the responses. The GMAT/gre are out of the question at this point. I will apply anyway; I really hope the GMAT doesn't come back and bite me in the ass lol. Besides cambridge, any good universities in the UK? I've heard warwick, any thoughts on this school for a master in finance? Please note that I didn't mentioned lse BC it requires a GMAT/gre.
Thanks guys
