Cegep to Business School

I'm currently studying in my first semester of Cegep, and I have my sights set on Investment Banking. I'm currently studying in Commerce, that is Business and Economics courses, as well as Calculus and Linear Algebra.

I'm still quite far away from applying for an undergrad at any business school, but it never hurts to try and be ahead of the game. Any Canadians out there want to recommend Canadian business schools? I was leaning towards John Molson at Concordia, but I'm not %100 sure yet.

Also, is there anything that I can do now that will be able to help me once I'm in business school? Any recommended books on investment banking and things like that just to get more of a heads up and be familiar with the material in university?

Tips and advice are welcome, anything that you did or regretted not doing before going to business school is appreciated!

Thanks

Don't go to JMSB if you want to get into banking. It may be strong in MTL (mostly because it does a great job marketing itself), but there's no banking in MTL. You want a school with a good name -- go to McGill, Queens, UofT or Ivey.

Ah, CEGEP...what a shitty math education I got there. Did Cal I+II, had a 98 average in them...then I get a C+ in my first semester at college doing the same material. Goes to show that you can make a course as easy or as hard as you want to, and Dawson made it as easy as possible.

Could not agree anymore. If you want top tier jobs in finance (S&T/IBD/research) do NOT go to JMSB. I don't know why my fellow Montrealers believe that Molson is better than McGill. They are FLAT wrong. McGill gets way better international recruiting and recognition. I strongly doubt Concordia fares that well even in local recruiting. My friends tell me that McGill/HEC cleans house in Montreal.
