Chances for HBS / GSB (2+2)

Hi,

First post here. Just looking for some honest feedback regarding chances for deferred admission, and hoping someone can poke some holes in my potential applicant profile. Currently in my last year so will ideally be applying this fall/spring.

University: Non-target, top 100 state school Prospective Degree: Pharm.D. (no bachelors) GPA: 3.94 GMAT: 750 (49q, 42v) Internships: *2 at F500 pharmaceutical companies (e.g. BMY, JNJ, GILD). Work/school full time for both *1 at VC in healthcare *1 at MCO (BlueCross BlueShield) *1 at IHS (federal program for Native Americans) *2 at hospitals in pediatrics/organ transplant

Volunteering Experience: *Co-founder of service organization that provides means for students to contribute expertise to multiple charity care clinics: 1.5 year *Chair at major charitable cancer research organization: 8 months

Research: *2 publications in nutrition/cancer (2nd/3rd author) *2 posters in nutrition presented at national conferences

Eventually looking to round out scientific skillset with a business background to take on more strategy-oriented roles in healthcare start-ups or move to VC as I enjoyed my time there.

Feedback? Anything glaring aside from non-target?

Are you certain you're not eligible to apply to HBS' 2+2? It's true you're a holder of a Doctorate, but it's a 6-year undergraduate program, i.e., it's your very first degree after having completed your secondary education in high school. So if I were you, I'd get in touch with Admissions at HBS via e-mail and I'd explain them the case very thoroughly, and get closure on eligibility.

(I'm exactly in the same position, btw.)

Have you considered applying to Yale SOM's Silver Scholar program?
