Chances + picking schools

Hi monkeys! I've been reading the forum for a while, but here's my first post!

I just hit the 30-month mark at my firm, and am planning on applying to b-school this year. Currently I am looking at the following schools (looking to make the switch to PE post-MBA):

HBS, Stanford GSB, Wharton, Columbia, Chicago, Sloan

My background:
* Asian male (Non-US citizenship)
* 3.51 from a top public (UVA/Michigan/UCLA/Berkeley) with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Business
* 770 GMAT
* 2.5 years at an MBB in the US (with some international experience). Recently got promoted to a post-MBA position. Some pretty solid internships during college (I don't know if they count for anything)
* Misc: Leadership positions in some clubs during college, varsity college sports team + play different sport for local club now, published research (applied business theory), heavily involved with a non-profit for the last 3 years.

My questions are:
1) Would my GPA + overrepresented minority combo significantly hurt my chances at the schools I listed? What are my chances?

2) What schools should I add to the list if I am trying to switch to PE?

3) While most of the variables are fixed now (GPA, GMAT etc.), is there anything you'd advice me to do in the next few months in preparation for applications?

Thanks - I appreciate any input.

1). Your GPA+minority combo makes your profile more competitive, so you need to focus your attention on the factors you can control. 3). Work on your resume, getting good recommendations, writing your essay and preparing for the interview.

I don't think an Asian minority status works in your favor. As everyone knows, Asians are smarter than everyone else. I think they actually may even ding you for it.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, that's what I meant with overrepresented minority (it def. works against you from what I know). I know the average GPA for HSW are in the upper 3.5-3.6 range. Any other thoughts?
