Changing jobs before applying to business school

I currently have a job in sales and plan on applying to business school next fall for 2019 admission. My girlfriend lives in another state and is pressuring me to move her way and she lives in a major financial hub. I could get a job doing what I do now near her and make about 50% more than I am currently for a better well know company.

My question is would that dramatically hurt my b-school application considering I will only be there maybe 6 months before applying? Or could it easily be explained by the better company and comp increase?

Should I move or stay put until b-school?

I think you should be fine. Adcom understands that life happens. Just have a good story to go along with it. I started my apps last march, quit my sales role job, got into a startup in May, launching platform then quitting startup this month, going to work for BB in March. I talked to several adcom, told them my story, they said it makes sense and seemed to be very understanding. I wouldn't worry so much.
