Choosing bw Cambridge Judge Business School and Frankfurt School for Mfin

Hey all! I am a non-EU/UK student aspiring to pursue education abroad. Previously worked for a backend IB analytics and research company for 2 years and since Jun '25, I have been on a sabbatical, mainly to venture into entrepreneurship and to figure out my future. I've got offers from both the schools and am not able to come to a crystal clear conclusion.

  1. CJBS comes with a lot of prestige but at a steep cost (the fees seem insane to me and I would have to take a loan to cover my education). I also observed that a lot of alumni have not secured a job in the UK/EMEA and have gone back. While I don't find this to be a problem generally, my coming back to my country will flip the ROI equation and honestly, it's not even an option post-MFin at CJBS. It's a year-long course after which I have to pay for a grad visa and get 18 months to find a job. The cost of survival itself will be steep, especially since I would be moving closer to London. Also, from a target school point of view, I haven't seen people being placed for IB (sure, undergrads do enjoy the brand and value provided by Cambridge, but it did not really translate when I was searching for MFin. I might be terribly wrong and would love to change my mind on this!).
  2. FS does not come with prestige close to CJBS but commands good respect within the German market. My search on alumni concluded that it might not be the pipeline for IB but there is (or was) a good pipeline for EU finance roles. The costing is much cheaper compared to Cambridge and even the stay is relatively affordable (the loan contribution is much less and a huge relief for me). It's a 2-year course which would give me enough time to create a footing in terms of learning the language, culture, job expectations etc.

Your takes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
