Major in Economics or anything quantitative would be nice. A minor in computer science or data science would be one of the top minors you should consider, especially throughout these evolving times.

 

Kind of a double edged sword. Majoring in finance / accounting / econ will get you the most looks from banks, but you'll be doing lots of finance / accounting in banking anyway and it's not that hard to learn for interviews and in general. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't spend $200k+ on a finance major. Best recommendation would be to do econ and something quantitative (math, applied math, CS) and get some familiarity with basic and intermediate accounting
