Columbia vs JHU

Recently accepted as a sophomore transfer to Columbiua. Currently a freshman at JHU.

Was wondering how much of a leg up Columbia is for IB (and MBB) recruiting. I also know its years in advance, but I also heard that school pedigree matters for PE and b-school.

(Currently at Columbia) Regardless of any bias, Columbia wins by a landslide for IB and PE recruiting, this decision should be a no brainer unless you are considering very specific fields in stem/pre-med, happy to provide more information.

Do you happen to know how well people recruited this year?

I don't know our exact placements this year—we're generally represented at all (or almost all) of the BB/EBs every recruiting cycle, but I can't provide insight into the exact numbers.

Either way, you shouldn't have any issue getting interviews with Columbia on your resume (at least this has been my experience). We also tend to do better in IB recruiting than PE, so that's also a factor you may want to consider. But, to reiterate, you won't ever be at a disadvantage in recruiting because you went to Columbia, and if you are committed to IB, it will set you up very well.
