Consulting vs IB for MBA

I’m currently a student at an MSF program and I’m hoping to go into consulting or ib after graduating. At the time I’ll start in either field, I’ll have 3 years of experience as a government contractor working on a few special projects for a federal agency. I’m hoping to work in consulting or ib for 2-3 years before going to business school. Which industry would better prepare me for MBA applications? Also, how much would a top tier firm in either industry (MBB, BB) vs a Tier 2 or MM firm impact my application?

A little about me: I plan on having a 160+ on both the quant and verbal sections of the GRE. My undergrad gpa was a 2.73 (due to some health issues) and my grad gpa will most likely be ~3.6-3.7
