Cornell ILR or Econ

Hi Guys I just started at Cornell ILR. Im looking to get into IB (or possibly consulting) and wanted some advice.

I talked to my advisor and could probably transfer into arts&sciences for an econ major next year. Would this be better for my chances?

The pros of ILR is that there is less competition and I could take a business minor. I would also have a better GPA as econ is notoriously hard. What do you guys think I should do?
