Dilemmic Nature of SA2028 Recruiting & School

Hi all,

This is my first time posting on here but I really needed to get this off my mind. I am currently a sophomore at a low semi-target with a 4.0 pursuing a dual degree in Finance and a Humanities topic (History, English, Classics adjacent) looking to recruit for IB, PE, and/or Growth. I am currently facing 2 major problems regarding 2028 recruiting and would love if anyone can shed some light on this.

First, 2 of my classes this semester have a participation grade and a no cell-phone policy attached to them and I don't know how I will be able to stay responsive to bankers during class time. I am also wondering if I should skip class to chat with analysts (IB, PE, Growth) instead of sending availability just after class (my last class ends around 12:30 pm).

(Note: they are required courses for both majors)

Second, how intensive is recruiting really going to be like in terms of hours spent on networking, studying techs, mock interviews, drafting emails, etc. (would appreciate a breakdown on this).

I would like to maintain my 4.0 while still having plenty of time to recruit and miss up to 4 classes if need be.

Thanks!
